ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS..

Let me just start this post with the most important aspect of the day: CASH FINALLY WALKED YESTERDAY! After much anticipation (and a little worrying once the 1 yr mark came around!) he decided to do the unthinkable.. And of course, being the super-child that he is, he didn't just take a few steps but TEN! I can honestly thank God that I have had my camera handy during all the important milestones.. Here's how it happened: Cash's daddy works A LOT, and by the time he gets home Cash is already winding down to go to sleep, and just wants to play with him for a bit before passing out. On J's only off day, we go to my Nana's house, and Cash has yet to reach the floor over there. What I'm getting at is that we've yet to spend a lot of time doing the "walk back and forth between people" practicing. I'm typically alone with Cash most of the day, and I've practiced walking but it just didn't work too well. Yesterday night, my Dad (Cash's Papa) and my sister Lexi (Cash will refer to her as "Aunt." She hates that!) came over after a weekend hunting trip. Almost immediately, my dad had Cash walking to Lexi. All it took was a little push, and two people to walk between. Here's the expert walker in action:

So cute.. so classic! Anyway, if you've followed my blog by now you'd realize that the next best thing to my child'd first steps is CHRISTMAS! We have our Christmas tree up now, and a couple of decorative crafts that I've worked on out. We've yet to completely finish decorating, but it's a start! How cute does that Christmas tree skirt look!??!

I made this cutesy snowman a while back. It's basically made out of the small 50 cent cardboard jewelry boxes sold at Hobby Lobby or Michaels, White paint, White Glitter, White Spray Painted Burlap, Buttons, and various other craft items to decorate. Voila!

I saw this ribbon tree at Pier 1, and knew I could replicate it easily.. (although mine doesn't look as perfect as theirs did.. it was MUCH cheaper!) I spray painted a toilet paper roll black, and with a little arm work and a hot glue gun, strategically looped ribbons (smaller at top, bigger as I went down) until it resembled a Christmas tree. LOVE THIS!

On a fun note, (and a "hope J reads my blog and takes note", note!) here's my "REAL" Christmas List, followed by my "FANTASY" Christmas List. If you plan on buying me a gift, picking from either list is fine by me =)

16 piece Damask Dinnerware Set. As you can see from my blog, I'm a damask FANATIC! It's sprinkled throughout my entire house, and I'm in need of a new set of dishes. I feel like this set has "Stormi" allll over it!

3 piece Cake Stand Set (umm.. have I turned into a grandmother?) I like to entertain, and this set is perfect. Neutral white, with interchangeable ribbons so it'll match everything! Love this. Need this.

Mini Shopping Spree to Sephora. Let's face it: I need new Makeup! And rather having my FH (Future Husband. Learn this!) attempting to pick it out for me, I'd rather a gift card or a "give me your credit card" trip so I can stock up on some fresh makeup and bath & body products.

Tory Burch Flats in Leopard. I'm not a big "flats" wearer.. I'm usually in heels 24/7. HOWEVER, if I'm going to wear flats, it HAS to be these. Period.

And now for the dream list.. Just sayin..

Custom Closet Organization. I know these can run in the thousands, but just staring at this picture makes me all fuzzy inside. I assume this is how J feels when he looks at pictures of Classic Cars. We may not need this now, but if I ever build a custom home, ALL closets are going to be custom as well.

These next two don't need captions.. A girl can dream can't she?
