This was his reaction to watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.. He danced the entire time, and his eyes lit up when the Snoopy float rode past. My mom forced me to watch this parade every Thanksgiving since I can remember, so I'm glad to see Cash caught on quickly.. She also taught us to smile just like this in all pictures, but I totally didn't teach Cash this one.. his DeeDee will be proud!
After never leaving his side, and spoiling him rotten for the last 406 days, of COURSE he's thankful for mommy ;)
We've been doing some "step taking" but have yet to full blown walk yet.. He'd rather just ride..
For anyone who cares, my top is from White House Black Market, Jeans are Express Gray Skinnies, Scarf is from Nordstrom (2 years ago!) and ankle boots were a gift from J from Baker's. Small sneak peek of our Christmas tree in the background! I'll reserve an entire post to my holiday decor in a few days!
*singing: "Dontchaaa wish your nana could cook like mine?? Dontchaaa.." Cajun Turkey and Homestyle Turkey, Corn, Cornbread Dressing, Mac&Cheese, Green Beans & Yeast Roll.
And a separate plate for dessert: Pecan Pie, Lemon Pound Cake, Carrot Cake & Chocolate Delight
Here's a shot of our stockings at my grandmas. They still hang stockings for their kids, their kid's kids, and now their kid's kid's kids.. Excuse me if that made no sense.. To the right of the stockings you'll see a collection of Nigerian tribal art (?!??!?) and to the left, the most dreadful baby picture of me that exists.. in a frame.. for all to see.
I have more pictures, but don't wan't to bore you all with Thanksgiving talk now that it's O-VER! The weather has finally cooled down in good ol' Southeast, TX, but I'm sure it won't last long. Tomorrow night we will be heading to see the musical version of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" at the Hobby Center in Downtown Houston. Not only am I excited about taking Cash to his first play, but I'm anxious to see the show myself as well! If I wasn't already enough in the realm of Christmas spirit, I KNOW I will be after leaving the show tomorrow night. On a foodie note, my child has a well rounded palette.. He'll eat anything from mangos to salmon to crawfish.. and I LOVE this about him. However, one of the items that he has grown fond of WITHOUT my liking is powdered donuts! (I know this may be partially my fault. I gave him half of one for breakfast one morning, and he became an instant addict.) It's not something that I give him all the time, (maybe once every other week as a breakfast treat) but now that the holidays are here, it would only be fair that I give in to his addiction and spruce it up a little bit..
How CUTE is that!? I found a picture of these bad boys online.. I think they poked mini chocolate chips into the donut for the eyes and mouth, and used some sort of cereal as the nose. Either way, Cash will DEFINITELY be enjoying a "Powdered Donut Snowman" this holiday season! Merrrrryyy Early Christmas!
